There’s just a few days to go until Buxton International Festival 2024 opens on Thursday, 4 July.
We’re opening in style and are rolling out the red carpet for our opera premieres and to welcome Golda Schultz, Gary Matthewman, and Adrian Cox with his New Orleans Social Club to Buxton.
Rehearsals are in full swing in Buxton Opera House, and the excitement is building. 🎉
This year we are thrilled to present a fantastic programme featuring five new spectacular opera productions – a first in our 45 year history; as well as innovative music, jazz, and thought-provoking book talks.
We have a relaxed dress code, but if you’re looking for an excuse to get dressed up, this is it! There will also be live music and sweet treats for audience members, outside Buxton Opera House on Friday 5, Saturday 6, Sunday 7 and Monday 8 July from 6.45pm.
