Harp Recital with Alis Huws
After the AGM, we’re delighted to present a recital at 11:45am from harpist Alis Huws. Tickets cost just £10.
Former Official Royal Harpist (2019 to 2024), Alis is a celebrated soloist, orchestral and chamber musician. She performs widely across the UK and internationally, with tours to Japan, Europe, the US, Hong Kong and the Middle East. Alis had the honour of performing at His Majesty King Charles III’s Coronation at Westminster Abbey, as well as the Welsh National Service of Prayer and Reflection for HM Queen Elizabeth II, the Royal Opening of the Senedd, and other major national events.
Named on Classic FM’s 30 Under 30 Rising Stars list for 2024, Alis has received several awards including the Midori Matsui Prize for Music, Royal Welch Fusiliers Harp Prize, McGrennery Chamber Music Prize and the Rev. Paul Bigmore Music in the Community Award. Her studies were generously supported by the Tillett Trust, The Biddy Baxter and John Hosier Trust, the Arts Council of Wales, the EMI Sound Foundation and a Help Musicians UK Postgraduate Award.
