‘The rock stars of Renaissance vocal music’ –  The New York Times

The Tallis Scholars have established themselves as the leading exponents of Renaissance sacred music throughout the world through their recordings and concert performances.  They were founded in 1973 by their director, Peter Phillips.

Their programme comprises one of Palestrina’s greatest mass-settings, and a selection of motets by Palestrina and his great Spanish contemporary, Victoria.
