Baritone Mark Stone has been acclaimed for his Wagnerian roles: Alberich in Das Rheingold and Siegfried, at the Longborough Festival, Wotan in Die Walküre, with the Trondheim Symfoniorkester, and Gunther in Götterdämmerung, at the Grand Théâtre de Genève.

He is also renowned for modern works such as John Adams’ Nixon in China, and the world premiere of Huang Ruo’s M. Butterfly. He joins the former Artistic Director of the Buxton International Festival, Stephen Barlow, for Schubert’s great, emotionally devastating song-cycle.
