Buxton International Festival Wins Best Annual Arts and Culture Award 2024 at SME Midlands Enterprise Awards

Buxton International Festival has proudly been named the winner of the Best Annual Arts and Culture 2024 category at the SME Midlands Enterprise Awards. This prestigious recognition highlights BIF’s exceptional contribution to the region’s arts and culture scene as one of the leading arts festivals in the UK.

Now in its eighth year, the SME Midlands Enterprise Awards program celebrates the achievements of businesses and organisations across the region, spanning all industries and sectors. The awards honour those who have shown success, growth, and impact, shining a spotlight on their hard work and innovation.

The 2024 festival was a milestone for BIF, delivering a record-breaking program that featured five operas over the course of its 18-day run. With over 170 events and 33,000 tickets sold, it was an extraordinary celebration of opera, music, jazz and books, showcasing both emerging talent and world-renowned performers.
