Buxton International Festival is one of the UK’s leading arts events taking place each July in the beautiful spa town of Buxton but did you know that BIF comes to London too? Before we present our opera productions in Buxton Opera House, we have 4 weeks of rehearsals in London from 2 June 2025.
BIF features the most promising rising stars in the performing arts world, as well as prominent international singers, musicians and literary figures. As the Festival continues to grow in scale, we are looking for residents who are able to host artists in their homes.
Each year we have several artists who need to find accommodation in London during our rehearsal period and this is where you can help. Do you live in London, or, have a second home and are able to accommodate an artist or two? If you have a spare room in your home for an artist to stay or accommodation you may not be using yourself during the month of June then we would be delighted to hear from you. Those offering accommodation are able to charge rent and currently most hosts ask for a small amount each week to cover their expenses.
We also want to hear from Buxton residents – are you able to offer accommodation from mid-June, during BIF (10 – 27 July) and to the end of July 2024?
If you are able to offer a room in London or Buxton for a performer to stay in your home, then we would very much like to hear from you.
Most hosts ask for around £100 per week to cover their expenses and typically allow the guest to share their kitchen facilities so they can make their own meals.
