It is with great regret that for the first time in forty years we must cancel the Buxton International Festival in July 2020. This is an enormous disappointment but the health and well-being of our audience, our volunteers, the BIF team and all the artists involved is of primary concern. Gervase is one of Britain’s best-loved raconteurs sharing with us his hilarious insight into the world of children. Author Gervase Phinn, a friend of our hosts Pat and Philip Holland, has written scores of books with titles such as The Virgin Mary’s Got Nits based on his experiences as a teacher and school inspector.
