Thomas Adès: Full of Noises

It is with huge regret that Buxton International Festival must announce that Tom Service will not be able to appear at the festival due to ill health.  Both the Literary Salon on Saturday 13 at 7.30pm and his talk ‘Thomas Adès: Full of Noises’ on Sunday 14 at 10am have unfortunately been cancelled.

All ticket money for these events will be automatically refunded to your method of payment. If your card has expired or cash was paid you will be refunded by cheque.

Thomas Adès is feted from Los Angeles to London as the musician who has done more than any other living composer to connect contemporary music with wider audiences. Yet this celebrated composer, conductor and pianist is notoriously secretive about his creative process. Tom Service is a writer who has enjoyed the closest relationship with Adès and, in a series of provocative and challenging interviews, has got to the heart of Adès’ music and influences. Tom Service presents Radio 3’s flagship Music Matters and writes on music for The Guardian.
