Soprano Louise Alder has recently made debuts at some of the world’s most prestigious opera houses, including the Wiener Staatsoper, the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Teatro Real in Madrid.
Pianist Joseph Middleton returns to Buxton after his memorable recital with Dame Sarah Connolly in 2021. Joseph is the Artistic Director of the Leeds Lieder Festival. Their programme features two masterpieces of the German late romantic – Richard Strauss’ poignant Four Last Songs and Alban Berg’s achingly beautiful Seven Early Songs.
