Renowned UK singer-pianist Jeremy Sassoon narrates and performs his history of Jewish songwriters from the piano, supported by his trio. The show starts with the golden era of Gershwin and the Great American Songbook and continues right up to the 21st century, spanning artists such as Carole King, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, Randy Newman and Amy Winehouse. Jeremy is a captivating host and raconteur, armed with witty repartee and some surprising and little-known facts.
Expect great music, several laughs, some audience participation and a few surprises as Jeremy takes you on his personal journey through the contribution of Jewish songwriters to the wonderful world of contemporary music.
