Buxton International Festival is taking its 40th Anniversary programme on the road and will perform at the ROSL Princess Alexandra Hall.
The BIF Roadshow is the perfect place to experience opera, music and books in a friendly, fun and welcoming atmosphere.
Our hour long performance will include musical extracts from some of our 2019 Festival operas performed by soloists and BIF company members, including: Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky); Georgiana (various); Orpheus in the Underworld (Offenbach); and Lucio Papirio Dittatore (Caldara). Maestro Wyn Davies will accompany the singers and Adrian Chandler from La Serenissima will introduce Caldara’s opera Lucio Papirio Dittatore. You will meet Victoria Dawson, BIF’s Book Programmer who will present the curiously curated 2019 Book Series.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Peak District, there’s so much more to Buxton International Festival with guided town walks, cooking demonstrations, books, music and jazz.
So join us this March as we bring to you a flavour of our summertime festival of opera, music and books that runs from 5 – 21 July 2019.
